The future of online marketing is here – it is Video Marketing. The war gets intense as all the social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Google+ are gearing up to win the mighty space that was once predominated by YouTube.

The social media powerhouses are developing video marketing resources in their own way. Are you making the most of this advantage to promote your business online?

Are the Social Platforms Ready to Play Now?

The social media sites are already into it. Such is the competition that Facebook has become a potential rival of YouTube.

Don’t you love to share, watch and upload videos on Facebook? The fact is we all do! Compared to last year, Facebook saw video posts increase by almost 75%. Engagement rate also increased by 25% compared to last year.

The same thoughts resonated from the CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, when he stated on a public platform, “If you look in the future, a lot of the content that people share will be videos, and videos fit very well into our newsfeed.”

So, if you want an in-depth understanding of how people are responding to your videos, then just hold on because Facebook is planning to make analytics easier for videos. Facebook plans to introduce Video Metrics in Page Insights and Ads Reporting, according to a press release.

Right now, the native video promotion is available but it is way too costly. You can go ahead and promote video marketing on Facebook, provided you are willing to spend a whopping $1.25 million on a single ad. We will have to wait and watch when Facebook welcomes small entrepreneurs to promote their brands on this platform, which is considered the king of social networking!

Not only Facebook but Twitter is also not lagging far behind in the war. By launching its own beta version of Promoted Video Ads, Native Video Player and Native Video Embedding, it is giving its rivals some tough competition.

Business houses have to pay to promote their marketing videos on their followers’ timelines through Promoted Video Ads. The Native Video Player, on the other hand, provides the perfect opportunity to upload marketing videos on Twitter without the need of any hosting services like YouTube or Vimeo.

Native Video Embedding allows users to take a video from the timeline and place them in their own website, again without the need of any hosting services.

This terrific combination is posing a threat not only to YouTube but also to Facebook that has not yet started with video embedding. Vine, the micro-video site of Twitter, has also launched its own video promotion and analytics tool like Instagram (acquired by Facebook). Clearly, Twitter is stealing the show now and is one step ahead of others in the war.

How will the Mighty War affect your Business?

Videos are more attractive that keeps users engaged for a longer time. So, it’s time you have your marketing videos ready.

Explainer videos are the best way to start with, as they are the online video marketing trend now. It’s perfect for starters as well as large MNC’s to talk about their services and products. It is seen that explainer videos increase the conversion rate by 20%, other than helping in SEO, by keeping viewers hooked to their site for a longer time.

Here is an example of an explainer video. Check it out:
